Thailand Elite on tour

I was invited by Thailand Elite or Thailand Privilege to a members day out in Rayong on Friday 21st April.

They have just reached 25,000 members and this year celebrate their 20th anniversary. Thailand Privilege Card offers members a range of different levels of membership which offer airport meet and greet services, fast-track assisted travel through the airport and electro cart services. Visa advantages, advice and assistance when dealing with government agencies and many more premium services.

We were invited to muster at a meeting point in Na Jomtien where we were served coffee with a light breakfast. It was my first opportunity to meet a selection of members and I met some delightful people from several different countries. England, America, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, Holland, Ukraine, Hong Kong, China – we were certainly an international eclectic mix…

After coffee we were ushered on board a coach by the staff of Thailand Privilege set off for a fruit farm in Rayong called Supphatraland.

We arrived less than an hour later and were met by a refreshing fruit mocktail. Then onto open sided trams where we toured the orchards to see the mango, durian, rambutan, mangosteen and rubber trees along with the bee hives producing honey. We stopped at all the various orchards and saw the fruit growing and tasted it fresh from the tree. Then there was a pharmacy where we were invited to purchase cough mixture and massage products.

Then Thailand Privilege really raised the flag and invited us to a five course, many different dishes luncheon cooked and presented by Baan Khanitha staff where we had a stunning authentic Thai meal with far too many delights to mention. This proved an ideal opportunity for us to get to know each other and for us all to make new friends.

Then back onto the trams, various photo opportunities, before alighting the coach again to visit some ancient shopping street in Rayong. Like others I opted to stay in the coffee shop with it’s comfortable chairs avoiding the heat…

A super members day out where we were reminded of the value of joining Thailand.
