Rhythm and Roots … an arts extravaganza featuring Aarti Saikia and Friends
Mark your diary for the first offering in 2019 from lady about town, Aarti Saikia. After a rewarding and successful programme of events in 2018, Aarti is not letting the grass grow beneath her feet, with her ‘Rhythm and Roots’ multi-genre showcase.
Saturday March 16 at The Continent Hotel is the date and venue to highlight on your diary pages. You can look forward to a creative infusion of several cultures … Indian classical dance, Bollywood style exuberance, and enigmatic Spanish flamenco, exquisitely performed by Aarti, and followed up by her thought-provoking self-penned poetry.
There will be an exhibition by Arash Groyan, who will give a demonstration of Persian style painting. A real treat for art enthusiasts from this artist who has exhibited in The Louvre, Paris. And you can also get ‘hands-on’ yourself, with a Collective Art Canvas.
Music will be provided by DJ Double Deuce from Germany.
