CIA landlords has calculated which cities are the most profitable for landlords, based on how long it would take to earn back the property’s purchase price and how much could be earned by renting it out on Airbnb.

- Hong Kong is the least profitable city to buy a holiday home in, with the investment taking almost 23 years to pay off.
- London ranks at the bottom of the top 10, where the potential earnings from Airbnb rentals average £11,397.00 per month but a two bedroom house costs an average of £907,605.50.
