Bangkok, 6 December 2018 – Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has unveiled its 2018 festive season celebrations, featuring magnificent culinary offerings and mesmerising family entertainment.

Festive hampers Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s festive hampers are available for order and collection from 15 November 2018. Each hamper is packed full of Christmas goodies, such as cookies, Dresdner stollen, festive macaroons, traditional mince pie, and a festive chocolate tuk-tuk.

This year, the hampers also include signature items from the hotel’s dining venues, including curry paste from Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin; BBQ sauce from Niche; duck rillettes from Brasserie Europa; and tasty snacks from Hanuman Bar.

The Heritage hamper is priced at THB 3,900 plus VAT, while the Connoisseur hamper costs THB 7,000 plus VAT. There is a choice of rattan basket for the Connoisseur hamper, along with a burgundy box for the Heritage hamper. A personalised hamper option is also available, where customers simply select items from an à la carte menu that includes Christmas fruitcake, Dresdner stollen, English Christmas pudding, Choco snowman and Christmas fruit bread.

These exclusive hampers, which make ideal festive season gifts for family, friends and business associates, are available for order and purchase from 15 November 2018 to 15 January 2019. Annual lighting ceremony Guests and visitors are invited to join the hotel’s traditional annual lighting ceremony at 18:00 hrs. on Thursday 29 November 2018, when children from Chumchon Moobaan Pattana School in Bangkok’s Klong Toey district will be singing a selection of Christmas carols.

The children will be returning to Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok for regular heartfelt performances of Christmas carols throughout December, as part of the hotel’s commitment to supporting local communities.

These Christmas performances, staged every Sunday throughout December as well as on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, are performed in partnership with BE Health Association – the non-profit organisation co-founded by Kempinski Hotels S.A. to work against the spread of devastating infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria through training, education and moral support.

The performances take place on 2, 9, 16, 23, and 24 December from 17:00 hrs. to 17:30 hrs. and 18:00 hrs. to 18:30 hrs. Special performances will take place on Christmas Day (25 December) at 12:00 noon and 13:00 hrs.

Festive Brunch
December is a month of celebration and giving. Festive appetites will certainly be satisfied at Brasserie Europa with the sparkling Festive Brunch, presented every Sunday in December 2018, 12:30 hrs. to 16:00 hrs.

There is also a feast of fun for children at the “Kids Gingerbread Decorating Class”, presented exclusively at the hotel’s Kids Club from 15:00 hrs. to 16:30 hrs. This is a complimentary benefit for all children whose families are enjoying the Festive Brunch at Brasserie Europa and make reservations in advance (limited seats available, every Sunday until 23 December 2018).

This jolly festive feast features roast butterball turkey with chestnut stuffing and traditional condiments; roast Angus beef with potato gratin; and honey-glazed smoked pork ham. Other highlights of the extensive international buffet include a foie gras and cured meats stations; foie gras crème brûlée; foie gras pralines; Parma ham; and premium salami.

The famous “seafood on ice” station includes Atlantic lobster, rock lobster, three kinds of oysters, Alaska king crab and New Zealand mussels. Festive Afternoon Tea
The new Festive Afternoon Tea at Hanuman Bar perfectly captures the mood and atmosphere of the forthcoming festive season. This special afternoon tea draws inspiration from traditional festive celebrations when there is an inevitable desire to enjoy the sweetest things in life.

The Festive Afternoon Tea features cranberry chestnut and plain vanilla scones served with raspberry jam, passion fruit curd and homemade clotted cream; traditional festive fruitcake; eggnog éclairs; red velvet holiday trifle; mulled wine macaroon; and mini mince pie. Savoury highlights include salmon tart on pumpernickel bread with sour cream and salmon roe; smoked turkey with cranberry sauce on fruit bread; medium-rare roast beef served with horseradish and sweet mustard; and parmesan sablé with truffle liver pâté.

Brasserie Europa – Celebrate the spirit of Christmas on Christmas Eve (24 December) with family and friends at Brasserie Europa’s fantastic festive feast. This feast begins at the Raw Bar, offering three kinds of imported oysters with traditional condiments; steamed cold Atlantic lobster; snow crab; king crab; and queen scallops. The Foie Gras station features quality foie gras served with chutney and freshly baked brioche.

The Carving station includes honey-glazed smoked pork ham, served with Dijon and Pommery mustards, and roasted whole butterball turkey with chestnut stuffing, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce and chipolatas.
