Friends of the arts: Education through movement

Friends of the Arts Foundation

The main objective is to support young talent Thai and professional dance artist. Peering through the eyes of a passionate and artistic dancer, the Director, Vararom Pachimswat unwittingly bounces her vibrancy and energy as if her pirouettes send particles through the air and invisibly sprinkles tempo to all in her path.

The International Dance Festival in its 16th year promoted Education Through Movement by inviting 10 dance companies from around the world. Starting off with T.H.E. one of the best contemporary dance company from Singapore, Evora contemporary dance, Portugal/Zfinmalta and many more to a fun unique performance by talented youth dance company from Japan Prolific Visionary Production (PVP) .

During the 3 weeks all the artistic directors of the dance companies have shared their experience during pre and post performance talk during their productions.

Education through Movement offered 37 workshops (and master classes) for general public and dance students from contemporary dance to Zen meditation including stress management and one week intensive of #Dance& BrainLab.

Thanks to our sponsors – Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Mandarin Bangkok hotel, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, DTAC blue member, American School of Bangkok and Dance Centre Bangkok.
