Citrus Parc Pattaya

4 star hotel in South Pattaya with a good value, comfort and style

Where is it? Citruc Parc hotel is located in Southern part of Pattaya right at the entrance of Soi Thap Phraya 12. It’s only up to 10 minutes’ walk to Jomtien beach and Pattaya Park playground. The Soi Thap Phraya 12 is clean and silent. There are several restaurants, mainly targeting Russian tourists, and a small night market. There is not much activity going on, therefore it’s perfect for those who want to escape from the Walking Street buzz (hotel is around 15 minutes’ drive from the Walking Street).
What’s the style?
It perfectly satisfies today’s traveller taste as the building is new and modernly decorated. Playful colours and decorations mixed with ocean themes convey the fresh and beach ambiance all over the building.

deluxe twin room in the hotel

What are the rooms like? Non-smoking rooms are fancy and decorated in relaxing shades of blue and white. The rooms are fully furnished with comfortable Twin or King size beds, armchair, table, LCD flat screen TV, minibar and coffee/tea making facility. Lightening and air-condition systems are adjusted with the touch screen control panel located beside beds. Individually controlled air-conditioning system is implemented in each room, as well as corridors, eating hall and reception. Good news for people travelling with family, the hotel offers connecting rooms that connect Deluxe King and Deluxe Twin bed together. Also, babysitting service for 300 THB per hour is available upon request.
The glass-window bathrooms are colored in white, spacious and clean. Hotel provides standard toiletries which consist of shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, cotton pads, shower cap, sanitary bags and hair dryer. What I liked the most was a pair of slippers and bathrobes available in the wardrobe. Wearing bathrobe gave that cozy feeling of being at home.

The bathrooms window can be covered with automatic retractable louver in need. The shower functions in two ways: hand held or rain shower coming from the ceiling.

Facilities. Citrus Parc has an outdoor swimming pool with plenty of sunbathing chairs and a hammock, fitness center, liquid pool bar and rooftop lounge, meeting room, and palate restaurant. The palate restaurant’s dining hours are from 12:00 to 10:30 pm and liquid bar is opened from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am. Perhaps due to the outskirt location the liquid bar and restaurant are not crowded and contains private atmosphere. During my stay, a couple of times I enjoyed the food in a palate restaurant. I should say the experience was great. The waiter was extremely polite and provided a high quality service. The silent music and dim lights created cosy ambiance for a romantic dinner.

swimming pool Food. Breakfast each morning is served from 6:00 to 10:30 am. Amazing for sleepyheads like me! This was my first hotel that served breakfast up this late and what’s more surprising is that no matter when you come down the food will be warm and refilled. Food choice for breakfast was broad and changed each morning. However, the selection was quite typical as in other hotels. It included salads, sausages, various sauces, fried eggs, Pad Thai, curry, potatoes, bacon, bakery, and beverages. It was quite a blend of Thai and western cuisines. Overall, food was delicious, warm, fresh and always refiled. Staff didn’t rush and I had time in my hands to enjoy breakfast.

breakfast in the morning Non-breakfast dining was also satisfying. The menu wasn’t very selective, however several types of steaks, spaghetti, burgers, Thai food and deserts were available. On the menu they had an interesting desert option fried ice cream which I have never tried before. After the main course (waiter served food in an order first main meals later on desert) the fried ice cream arrived. It was a fried crispy ball filled with strawberry ice cream, served in a long dish along with a shot glass of fruits pieces in sour juice. It had unique arrangement and worth trying out.

Expenses. Deluxe room with breakfast price starts from around 1,400 THB per night and, in my opinion, the price was reasonable for the room’s quality and overall service. The restaurants food and beverage prices were also customer friendly.

Final verdict. Let’s say the final thoughts. If you are in Pattaya with your family and would like to have a rest away from city noise – this hotel fits in perfectly. 24 hours working reception, high standard restaurant, connecting bedrooms, quick access to Pattaya Park playground and Jomtien beach. it’s all just great. I would give 4/5 stars for my overall stay satisfaction.
