Thailand, February 4, 2019 – Romance is in the air and it’s clear many loved-up travelers are too as they head to Bangkok this February for Valentine’s Day. Advanced booking data from Airbnb, the leading people-to-people travel platform, shows that Bangkok is the tenth most popular Valentine’s Day destination in the world this year.

Known as the Venice of the East, Airbnb travelers will be falling in love all over again this Valentine’s Day as they get off-the-beaten path to explore local neighborhoods in the city that they wouldn’t otherwise have known.

Beyond quality time spent with their loved one, travelers are now in search of a magical travel experience that is both healthy and authentic to Thailand. Locals and travelers from China, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and the United States, are not only exploring Bangkok, but are also taking day trips out to secondary provinces such as Ayutthaya and Saraburi.

Following the successful first series of Channel 3’s Love Destiny (Buppesannivas), destinations that have been influenced by popular Thai TV dramas are seeing increased interest from travelers. Here are some Homes and Experiences where Airbnb travelers are looking to rekindle their love, enjoy the historic and cultural sites, and immerse in the local way of life.
