Opening Film of RCB Film Club’s 2018 Film Series- ‘VINCI’, Poland,Saturday, 10 March, 4:00 pm
Our Opening Film of 2018, in keeping with River City Bangkok’s strong interest in art and art-exhibitions, centres around a famous art-work of none other than the great painter Leonardo da Vinci. And in keeping with the current, disturbing problem of real and fake art-works, that’s worrying top museums and art-collectors around the world, the story of the film deals with the planned heist of an original art-work of Vinci, to be replaced by an amazing replica.
Involved in the meticulously planned operation, is Cuma, a notorious art-thief just released from prison, his art dealer friend Gruby, an old forger Hagen, his beautiful art student Magda. Finally, there’s Julian, Cumas’ former partner in crime, who has however joined the police now.
But Cuma is an expert art-thief, and his ‘fake’ artists are experts in their field. It’s a cat and mouse game, full of twists and turns, with the police hot on their heels, and the tension and action don’t abate till the end. The final surprise is an artistic master-stroke!

The Opening Film of RCB Film Club’s 2018 Movie Series, is supported by the Embassy of Poland, who will serve Drinks and Snacks, after the screening. Polish Ambassador HE Waldemar Dubaniowski will introduce the film.
The movie-screening will be in Room No 201 (Second Floor) of River City Bangkok.
