Italian Film Festival Bangkok 2018 An Italian Film Festival in the Far East
After the success of the past years, the 2018 edition is about to start. It is the 4th year of the Festival, which is organised by Dante Alighieri Society Bangkok, in the framework of the Italian Festival Thailand, organised by Embassy of Italy in Thailand and with the invaluable support of Generali Thailand as Main Sponsor, in cooperation with Benetone Films, The Emquartier, with Quartier CineArt as venue partner and with Velvet Media Thailand as media partner. The launch will be on September 9th with a pre-opening event at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
The festival program includes round tables on Cinema Business, concerts, Short movies and Soundtrack competition, an Opening Gala and, of course, the screening of selected Italian contemporary movies, which are: Correspondence, Emma, Gatta Cenerentola, It’s all about karma, Tenderness, The place and Young, fit…and almost good looking.
Italian Film Festival Bangkok 2018 is held from 11th to 16th September at Quartier CineArt, 4th floor, The EmQuartier. Tickets are 180, 200 or 700 baht for a special couple seats. Every film will be shown with English and also with Thai subtitles. This year, the President of Dante Alighieri association Mrs Maria Flora Di Matteo approved a partnership with the most important short movies Festival in Italy: Cortinametraggio.
After joining Cortinametraggio 2018 last March, Mrs Maria Flora Di Matteo will attend also the Venice Film Festival in these days and Mrs Maddalena Mayneri, Director of Cortinametraggio, will fly to Bangkok for the Festival. The Short movies day will be on September 10th at Rivercity.
