Grand Opera Thailand – Les Miserables

Last night saw the first performance of Grand Opera Thailand over dinner at Vertigo Too at The Banyan Tree and a great success it was.

It proved very popular to the diners as the performance took place amongst the tables and above of the two raised wings of the room.

The food and wine was enjoyed by all dinner started at 7pm and the performance was in 3 parts between courses. Foie Gras Berries Compote to start was light and very pleasant followed by Vichyssoise. A choice a main course – Crispy Confit Duck Leg pr Roasted Cod finished off with Apple Tart. The evening started with a welcome glass of Champagne and there were 4 carefully chosen delicious wines to accompany the 4 courses.

The following productions will follow and my advice at 4,900B per person is book quick as I am sure that they will sell out again.

A delightful way to spend the evening.

6th September – Phantom of the Opera

8th November – La Traviata

6th December – Pop Operas ‘Boogie Woogie’ Boys and Girls

14th February – International tribute to Valentines Day
