The exhibition includes over 40 works of art collected by reputable museums worldwide, including Uffizi Gallery, Florence; The Grand Louvre, Paris; National Gallery, London; Galleria Borghese, Rome; and even Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Aside from showing in detail the development of Cavaraggio’s works of art – contents, compositions, and aesthetics – and his creative process in its entirety, the exhibition also houses many of his most prominent masterpieces, such as “Bacchus”, “Medusa”, and the rarely seen “Boy Bitten by a Lizard” or “Saint Matthew and the Angel”, an art piece situated in San Luigi dei Francesi (The Church of St. Louis of the French), Rome, which can only be seen from a distance and with an appropriate lighting.

Every piece of works is a digital capture and high-resolution reproduction of Caravaggio’s paintings, using an innovative high definition digital technology, light and color adjustment on translucent materials. To ensure an identical reproduction of the original pieces, the entire process is overseen by both Italian and international art historians, and through this fashion, Caravaggio OPERA OMNIA paves way for an exciting reinterpretation of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio’s classic masterpieces where audience can explore their rich contexts, compositions, aesthetics, and extravagant values.
