AUDITIONS for a musical
Bangkok Community Theatre is holding auditions for a Tony awards winning Broadway musical, to be performed in March.
We are looking for singing actors (aged 16 and over) – 6 men and 5 women, but there may be some cross gender casting.
Auditions will be held at Bistro 33 (Sukhumvit 33, Bangkok) December 4th starting at 7:00
We are also looking for ‘one small girl/little Ti Moune’ (at least 10 years of age, up to 15). Auditions will be held at Bistro 33 (Sukhumvit 33, Bangkok) December 5th starting at 7:00

AUDITION NOTICE
Bangkok Community Theatre is holding auditions for a Broadway musical.
We are looking for 11 singing actors (aged 16 and over) – 6 men and 5 women, but there may be some cross gender casting. Auditions will be held at Bistro 33 (Sukhumvit 33, Bangkok) December 4th starting at 7:00
We are also looking for ‘one small girl/little Ti Moune’’ (at least 10 years of age, up to 15). Auditions will be held at Bistro 33 (Sukhumvit 33, Bangkok) December 5th starting at 7:00
All auditioners will be asked to read from a script, learn some simple dance steps and sing a musical theatre song. If you can bring backing tracks on a USB, that would be preferred You can bring sheet music but our accompanist may not be familiar with the song you have chosen. You can sing without accompaniment, but it is preferred that you avoid doing that.
You can sing ‘Happy birthday’ if you really can’t find sheet music or backing tracks, but you need to sing something. We don’t have to have a finished performance, but we need to get an idea of what you sound like.
BCT will be doing the musical that took the Tony Award for the best revival of a musical in 2017, The 1995 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and was nominated for 8 Tony awards in its original Broadway production.
It’s a musical that takes place after a storm on land surrounded by the sea.

Generally BCT does not cast actors under 16 years of age and there are some important considerations for casting those under the age of 16. A parent or guardian will need to be aware of certain requirements.
